FINAL YEAR - COMFORT IN COLOURThis is my most recent and up to date work from this year. For this project we had to come up with our own brief to then follow for the rest of the year. The title of my project is called 'Comfort in Colour' because its primarily focused on colour theory and the well-being of the wearer. It is a transeasonal loungewear collection for both male and female. I have very much enjoyed creating this collection as it has probably pushed me the most out of all of my three years here at university. And not only our my samples aesthetically pleasing but there is also thought in the process regarding sustainability and ethical issues.

PROJECT 3 - SKIN STORIESThis project was possibly my favourite from my second year. This is because we were able to write our own brief, creating our own goals and objectives. My theme was 'Skin Stories', focusing on the human body. This meant that my colour palette was mainly pink fleshy colours but I also focused on the artificial such as cosmetics so there are a few highlight colours also.

Live Project 2: Designing for a Market - Fat FaceThis project helped us get prepared for what it would be like designing for a market place. I had chosen the Fat Face brief as they were the company that I thought I was most suited for due to their working ethos and style of clothing. I really enjoyed this project as it meant working in groups and I was able to see how ideas and plans come together and develop. The theme we chose was called 'State of Being' and this was based on being in-tune with yourself and being cosy, due to this we had made up a lounge wear range for Autumn/ Winter 2017.

PROJECT 1 - GARDENERS FANTASYThis was the first project we did for second year. This brief enabled us to try out and explore new techniques with the knitting machines, allowing us to be quite experimental. Throughout the projects you able to see the progress within my sketchbook work and knitted samples. The theme was a 'Gardeners Fantasy', so this project includes mainly flowers and natural elements.

ELECTIVESWe had 2 weeks of Electives during our second term. This was time to develop skills in other fields of art and design. I had chosen 'Styling' with Michael Lau. This was an enjoyable but slightly tricky project as we were very pressed for time in order to get everything arranged but it ended up being a success.
